Dr. Tran also was the sole recipient of the Edward Mittelman Memorial Scholarship in 2003 from University of California, Irvine based on her ability to demonstrate compassion. Dr. Tran truly believes in the core principles of osteopathic medicine that a person is a unit and that the body is capable of self-regulation, self-healing, and its own maintenance.
Dr. Tran was consistently praised for extraordinary surgical skills and excellent bedside manner with preventive care in mind.
This year, the American institute of Minimally Invasive Surgery has named Dr. Tran a member of "The 300 Club," which recognizes the best 300 GYN/General Surgery Minimally Invasive surgeons in the country.
Dr. Tran provides compassionate care for her patients every day. One of the patients she recently cared for wrote to the hospital's CEO, "Dr. Tran never failed to serve her patients with generosity and compassion. I wish I had known this when picking this office and doctor as my OB. I'm pregnant with baby number 3, but due to insurance issues, I had to find someone with a lower deductible within my network. I chose Dr Tran based off of her amazing reviews and that she was able to deliver at the hospital I am close to. BUT I wish I had known that the office does NOT let you see the actual doctor/OB. You're only allowed to see the midwives and follow up with them throughout your entire pregnancy. I did not feel cared for with the midwives. I even had to look up what degree or licenses they hold as midwives because it felt pointless going to my follow up appts just to listen to the Doppler and have them measure me with a ruler. I had to bring up issues with my anatomy scan, urine tests, glucose levels etc. I was experiencing extreme Braxton hick contractions and sciatic nerve pain, the midwives would tell me to go to labor and delivery or say I needed to make an appt with the OB. The office can't schedule you to even see the OB because there aren't even any openings within a 2 week period lol. So they said they'd have a nurse call me the next day. What is that? For prenatal care I believe that's not acceptable.As I'm writing this review I'm wondering if I can switch OBs at 32 weeks. Paying 40% is worth it to be seen and heard by my other OB, which I have total regrets at switching this time around just to be within the 20% pay. :(

We moved to the area and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Yen H Tran for today, from almost two months ago.We’ve been waiting for this appointment urgently, only to show up and be told it’s been rescheduled due to a doctor emergency!You supposedly tried to reach us—why didn’t you use email or MyChart? Now we’re stuck waiting until October 15th, over a month away. Extremely professional, right?

If I could leave no stars I would. As I learned last year that I was pregnant with my 1st child, I started looking for an OB. I ended up choosing Dr. Tran by reading reviews and what not. It was WORST mistake, the initial appointment felt rushed, she sent me to get labs done which I did and my lab worked showed that I was diabetic and had low progesterone levels, granted I didn't even get the courtesy of receiving a phone call, she told me this through message on my chart. It was honestly the worst experience with her. Thankfully I was able to find a different OB by word of mouth and SO THANKFUL I did, it was honestly a day/night experience. This review might not ever reach her, but I hope she does and remedies her actions with future patients of hers.
