Dr. Sam Pourbabak is the director of Thyroid and Adrenal Diseases Clinic at the South County Kidney and Endocrine Center.

He also oversees Diabetes and disorders of Lipids and other aspects of Endocrinology. Dr. Pourbabak was part of the "Artificial Pancreas" research project at UCLA for "Closed Loop Insulin Pump" as well as studying of the Adiponectine, a new Hormonal factor for the Obesity.

On a personal level, Dr. Pourbabak is a member of "Doctors Without Borders" and has participated in many of their voluntary humanitarian missions. Dr. Pourbabak speaks French and Farsi as well as English. He likes to play tennis and is an avid swimmer!
