Ramin J. Javahery, MD, FAANS is board-certified in neurosurgery with an emphasis on spinal surgery in both adults and pediatrics.  He serves as the medical director, Pediatric Neurosurgery at Miller Children’s Hospital and Vice Chair, Neurosurgery Section at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center.

Dr. Javahery graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Medicine with Dean’s Scholar recognition and completed his residency in neurosurgery at the Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami.  He subsequently completed fellowships in pediatric neurosurgery at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA).

Dr. Javahery has been practicing neurosurgery at Miller Children's and Women's Hospital and MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center since 2007. He is chief of pediatric neurosurgery at Miller Children's and Women's Hospital. His areas of interest in neurosurgery include pediatric neurosurgery, treatment of cerebral aneurysms/vascular lesions, and spinal fractures/degenerative diseases.

Dr. Javahery is a member of American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), and the Children’s Oncology Group (COG).

He has published in a variety of areas of neurosurgery and is currently performing clinical research.

Dr. Javahery is married to Dr. Jill Javahery, with Comprehensive Dermatology of Long Beach.  Together, they have three sons and enjoy being part of the Long beach medical community.
