About Me

Dr. Rahul Sharma was born in England where he lived for 12 years prior to moving to Michigan where he later obtained a bachelor’s degree in physiology at Michigan State University. After receiving his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in New York, he returned to Michigan where he completed his general surgery training in Flint, Michigan at Michigan State University. For several years, he was on the clinical faculty for the university. Dr. Sharma then journeyed west to Loma Linda University where he completed a two- year Vascular Surgery Fellowship. He later settled in Orange County, the place that he now calls home.

Dr. Sharma has dedicated a significant part of his career to community outreach through various activities such as after-school tutoring in NYC, community health drives in Flint, MI and mentoring medical students from his alma mater. He has presented at multiple national conferences on vascular disease and has a keen interest in limb salvage and prevention of amputation. He also has strong interests in aortic disease, stroke preventative surgery, and dialysis access. Dr. Sharma has authored numerous publications on vascular disease and is a sought-after presenter on the topic.

Away from the operating room, Dr. Sharma may be found tinkering with his car, playing golf, and enjoying time with friends and family.
