Nishchal Kumar, MD

As an Orange County native, Dr. Kumar feels at home in joining MemorialCare to provide integrated healthcare to his community. 

Dr. Kumar views his role as a family medicine physician coach guiding his patients on their health journey. When working with his patients, he employs a dual approach, combining a focus on preventive medicine focused on maintaining good health along with a focus on treatment guided with current management techniques.

Dr. Kumar’s training provides the privilege of working with multiple generations. He chose family medicine as he enjoys cultivating long-lasting relationships with his patients and their families while providing comprehensive and compassionate health care tailored to the individual. Dr. Kumar has interests in and performs procedures in dermatology and sports medicine. 

In his free time, Dr. Kumar enjoys: hiking, running and spending time with his family in the outdoors. He incorporates his love of natural food and physical activity in his everyday healthcare practice.
