Dr. Dam received his Bachelor's Degree in Science at the University of California Irvine in 1987, and his Medical Degree at the University of California San Diego in 1991.

Dr. Dam then completed a three-year internship at the UCLA/VA West LA Medical Center. Dr. Dam's interest in Cardiovascular Disease moved him to the San Francisco area, where he completed a two-year Cardiology Fellowship at the UCSF-Mt. Zion Medical Center, following a one-year Echo Fellowship.

Dr. Dam practiced in the Palm Springs area for a little over three years, before joining Pacific Cardiovascular Associates in August 2000.
