Kais Rona, MD

Dr. Kais Rona is a fellowship trained bariatric surgeon specializing is minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery and advanced endoscopy.   He recently joined Michael Russo, MD and Mir Ali, MD in their surgical weight loss practice with offices in Fountain Valley and Aliso Viejo, California.  He was recently voted “Top Surgeon” by America’s Best Doctors. A southern California native, Dr. Rona completed his medical and surgical training at the esteemed Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

Dr. Rona is passionate about the science and art of weight loss surgery. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in the fields of foregut and bariatric surgery. Dr. Rona is dedicated to patient care and believes that the patient experience is as important as the quality of the surgery being performed. He provides holistic and personal surgical care to every single patient and maintains the highest standards of quality.

Dr. Rona is a member of the MemorialCare Orange Coast Medical Center medical staff and is a contracted specialist with MemorialCare Medical Group.
