About Me
Dr. Jose Luis Aranez is a board-certified gastroenterologist who specializes in advanced therapeutic endoscopy procedures.
Dr. Aranez received his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean and completed his internal medicine and chief medical residency from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He then completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Rochester Medical Center followed by a second fellowship in advanced therapeutic endoscopy (AES) from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Aranez is board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology.
His practice includes general gastroenterology with interests in GERD, peptic ulcer disease, colorectal cancer screening. His clinical interest includes the diagnosis, staging, and management of gastrointestinal malignancy and the utilization of therapeutic endoscopy to offer minimally invasive procedures.
In addition to upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, Dr. Aranez has specialized training in therapeutic endoscopy which encompasses Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Cholangioscopy (Spyglass), Pancreatoscopy (Spyglass), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR), Enteral Stents (esophageal, gastroduodenal, colon), Luminal Apposing Metal Stents (LAMS), Endoscopic Suturing, Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA).
He is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, spending time on the beach and outdoor activities, and traveling.
