About
John Link, MD graduated from Keck Medical School of USC and went on to also complete his internship and residency at USC. He continued his training with an additional residency at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center and fellowship in Medical Oncology at USC.
Among the world’s acclaimed breast oncologists, speaker, educator and researcher, Dr. Link, founded one of the nation’s first comprehensive breast cancer diagnostic, treatment and research centers at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center in 1995. In 1998 he founded the Breast Cancer Care and Research Fund, a non-profit organization whose mission is to educate and to promote clinical research, access to quality care and advocacy for women with breast cancer and their supporters.
Dr. Link is the author of The Breast Cancer Survival Manual, the most widely read book for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients.

Dr. Link is the absolute best cancer dr. Kind and immensely intellectually curious about both breast cancer and medical health in general. He is positive and uplifting, and he saved my life. I have watched my children grow up because he was doing cutting edge cancer treatments before the rest of the medical community caught up, And he remains excited about all the changes and growth in the cancer field. He is fabulous! And even diagnosed me with having a parathyroid tumor, while looking at my blood calcium levels during treatment, which is not even part of his job. When I went to have the tumor, removed the doctors they confirmed that it must’ve been there for 4 years—long before my cancer diagnosis.

You get either your mammogram, breast MRI or ultrasound in the office and see Dr. Link directly after the test. No waiting for the results, you get them the same day. Dr. Link cares about his patients and listens to them.

John Link is excellent and I have been with him since 2010. However, since Memorial Care got involved, the facility has felt very impersonal. I only come every 6 months for followup and the changes in checking protocol are confusing.
