About Me
Jennifer J. Yong, M.D. is a board certified refractive and cataract surgeon with iSight Vision Care in Fountain Valley.
She specializes in advanced techniques in femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, premium intraocular lens surgery, laser vision correction (LASIK/PRK), corneal collagen cross-linking for keratoconus, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and anterior segment reconstruction. Dr. Yong’s clinical interests include dry eye syndrome and ocular surface reconstruction for mechanical dry eye.
She received her undergraduate degree from UCLA and medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She completed her internship at Yale School of Medicine, residency at New York Medical College, and then completed her fellowship in ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School – Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Yong is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABOP). Currently, she serves on the ABOP board examination content revision committee, reviewing cataract assessment criteria for board certification exams.
She has been fascinated by the workings of the eye since a young age.
The eye acts as a portal to provide clues into what may be going on in the body as a whole. That’s when I knew ophthalmology was the right field for me.
In her free time, Dr. Yong enjoys writing reviews for restaurants and spending time with her daughters.
