About

Dr. Howard Dedes is a Harvard-trained physician specializing in Interventional Pain Medicine. He began his career in the United States Navy, serving as a hospital corpsman and field medical trainer from 1993 to 1997, earning the Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, and other honors before his honorable discharge.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of California, San Diego, and his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation through UCLA’s multi-campus program, training at the Veterans Administration, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Dedes then completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Motivated by personal experiences with loved ones suffering from pain, Dr. Dedes is committed to providing treatments that improve quality of life without the heavy side effects of narcotics. His expertise includes neuromodulation, regenerative medicine, and other advanced pain therapies, and he travels nationwide to stay at the forefront of innovation in his field.

Dr. Dedes has published research in peer-reviewed journals, presented at national conferences, and lectured at Harvard Medical School, UCLA, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and other leading institutions. He is also deeply involved in community service, volunteering in sports clinics for disadvantaged youth, conducting health screenings for uninsured Latino communities, and supporting programs for homeless children in Los Angeles.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Dedes enjoys golf, scuba diving, photography, cooking, traveling, and —above all—spending time with his family.
