Dr. Konugres is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease.

Dr. Konugres received his Bachelor's Degree in Science from UCLA in 1978. He then continued his education at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa, where he received his Doctorate in Osteopathy in 1981. Dr. Konugres completed a rotating internship in Internal Medicine at JFK Memorial Hospital in Turnersville, New Jersey, followed by an Internal Medicine Residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California. Dr. Konugres then completed an extensive three-year Adult Cardiology Fellowship at Loma Linda University from 1985 to 1988. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.

Dr. Konugres was Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1987, and in Cardiovascular Disease in 1989.
