Fred Galluccio, MD is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who has been in private practice for over 20 years with MemorialCare Independent Physicians. Located in Newport Beach at 901 Dover Drive Ste 102, Dr. Galluccio has won multiple awards including Physician of Excellence with Orange County Medical Association and OC Magazine. Dr. Galluccio is trained in both medical and surgical fields giving him a broad perspective to meet his patients’ diverse needs throughout their life, including caring for newborns, adults, and seniors, providing sports medicine, gynecology, dermatology and geriatric care.
Dr. Galluccio’s practice offers timely appointments – in person or virtual – and ample free parking and accommodates same day urgent visits. Dr. Galluccio speaks German and conversational Spanish while his other providers Drs. Vivian Ngo and Paul Eisman speak fluent Vietnamese and Spanish. In his spare time, Dr. Galluccio is a volunteer professor at UCI Dept. of Family Medicine, participates in international work (including with the United Nations!), and has assisted with launching two free community clinics here in OC. Dr. Galluccio has held multiple leadership and government positions in the local and international community, universities, and his church.

I don't know how you do it. Dr Eisman always finds a way to get this very rebellious headstrong patient (me) to actually comply and do the right thing: take my medications for high cholesterol, go for an in-person check-up of my asthma symptoms. I wish I could prescribe him to all of my friends and family who ignore Dr's orders.

I have been going to Dr. Galluccio for over 40 years now. He is highly knowledgeable, friendly. very through in his diagnosis, very open and honest with his patients, and a joy to see each time. I would not go to any other doctor (other than specialist he recommends). His office staff are very professional and friendly.

Dr. Galluccio is a very good doctor, the “Achilles heel” is his staff. My last appointment was 9:30am, I sat in the exam room until 11:00am. I came out of the exam room and stated to his staff, I guess I don’t have a 9:30am appointment. One staff offered up “ your next”, I said what does that mean? I left after a 1 1/2 hour wait, without seeing a doctor. I’ve had multiple appointments that go for one hour without seeing the medical professional I came to see, there is always different and new staff members. Cancel all upcoming appointments, until this medical staff can schedule patients in a timely manner. I assume I’ll go to urgent care for treatment, as this medical staff is currently unable to manage patient flow in the office. There are one or two staff members that do a decent job, however this is lost to the unacceptable patient handling.

Dr galluccio and his partner Dr. Eisman are good doctors but however each time I go there is a weight either in the lobby or in the exam room of a minimum of 45 minutes to an hour before I am seen. This is on top of the 30-minute drive each way that I have.

The office staff is excellent very understanding and English is their first language. I have never had any problem there with communication with the office staff. The doctors are very caring and take a great amount of time with you, which means there is a wait before you see these doctors.

I’ve been with Dr Galluccio for many years. What I don’t understand is whatever time my appointment is, I’m always waiting about 35-60 minutes.I only bring this up because I’ve had to visit a few other Doctors and I literally wait a few minutes.Does he over book patients ?Who can schedule time out of there day and anticipate losing an hour of your day, then your late for everyone else.If I have to wait that long please schedule me when I’m not having to waste so much time.

Front Office Staff is horribleMy father, who is 89, received notification that his primary physician retired so I set out find him a new primary physician. I made an Appt for my father who is not very mobile, to see Dr. Galluccio to see if he would be a good fit. The front office staff, who seem to have a bit of a tough time with English as their primary language, at Dr. Galluccio's office stated that he could meet with my father and I explained that my father wanted to meet with him prior to officially changing PCP's with his Ins. They stated this would be fine. However, when we arrived for the appt, the front office staff asked for my fathers insurance card and once they read it, told my father that he could not meet with the Dr as he was not a current patient. This had already been explained to them prior. They are not bright. When are Dr's going to realize that the front office is the face of their business and hiring unintelligent people is never a good idea.
