About

For Dr. Erick A. Argueta, the decision to become a physician was shaped by a deeply personal experience. As a teenager, he watched his uncle battle gastric cancer—an event that opened his eyes to the physical, emotional, and cultural challenges patients often face, particularly those from immigrant communities. “That loss left a lasting mark,” he says. “It taught me that healing is not just about treating disease—it's about understanding the full story behind each patient. That’s what inspired my path toward medicine and, ultimately, gastroenterology.”

Dr. Argueta was drawn to gastroenterology because it combines rigorous problem-solving with hands-on procedures and the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients. He finds the most meaning in guiding people through complex or uncertain times in their health journey. “What matters most to me is being a trusted, steady presence for my patients. Someone they can count on not just for clinical expertise, but for clarity, compassion, and respect.”

As a fluent Spanish speaker and first-generation physician, Dr. Argueta is especially passionate about caring for culturally diverse and underserved communities. “I take pride in building bridges—helping patients feel seen, heard, and understood in a healthcare system that can sometimes feel unfamiliar or intimidating.”

His approach is patient-centered, thoughtful, and evidence-based.

Whether I’m performing a procedure or reviewing results, I take time to understand not just the symptoms, but how a condition impacts someone’s life, their family, and their peace of mind. My goal is to provide the kind of care I’d want for someone I love.
