About Me

Dr. Eric Lau was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He received his Bachelor of Science at UCLA. After taking a year off, he moved on to medical school at the U.C. San Diego School of Medicine, where he graduated in 1998. Dr. Lau then went on to U.C. Irvine for his pediatrics residency and training. After completing his residency, Dr. Lau joined Columbia Pediatrics and has been part of the group since 2001.

Dr. Lau is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics as well as a member of the California Chapter of the AAP. Dr. Lau is on staff at Miller Children's Hospital and serves on the Pediatric Best Practice Committee for the Memorial Care system. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at U.C. Irvine and is involved in the teaching of pediatric residents and medical students.

Dr. Lau enjoys drawing and art. On a sunny day, when he is not at work, you may find him on the beach playing volleyball. When there's snow in the mountains, Dr. Lau will be on his snowboard (with helmet on, of course).
