About Me

Dung Trinh, MD, is the Chief Medical Officer of Healthy Brain Clinic, a Board Member for Alzheimer’s Orange County, a physician with MemorialCare, and is a medical missionary with TongueOut Medical Missions. He is also a keynote speaker, best-selling author, and host of “Health Talks with Dr. Trinh,” which can be heard weekly on OC Talk Radio.

Dr. Trinh, originally from Vietnam, evacuated with his family as refugees in 1975 on one of the last U.S. helicopters. At the age of 5, alongside with his siblings and mother, he spent time in U.S. sponsored tent cities in Guam and Oceanside until his family was finally sponsored by a church in Seal Beach.

Dr. Trinh decided to pursue medicine when he had the opportunity to be mentored by a physician in his high school’s mentorship program. The physician was the Medical Director for the Orange County Department of Public Health and provided Dr. Trinh the opportunity to learn about healthcare, which inspired him to become a physician.

Over the years, Dr. Trinh has developed a passion for educating his patients and the community. He provides numerous lectures on a variety of health topics throughout Orange County. In his early days of practicing medicine, he became frustrated with the limited medical treatments available for Alzheimer’s. He is deeply involved in all aspects of Alzheimer’s care, including clinical trials.

Dr. Trinh focuses on the overall health of his patients with a primary focus of preventing Alzheimer’s. He believes it is important to teach his older patients about the progression of the disease and diagnosis in its early stages. His overall practices centers around prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of Alzheimer’s.

Dr. Trinh has also established a non-profit called TongueOut Medical Missions, where they travel to various countries to treat a variety of medical conditions to children in need.

He is married with two children. Outside of medicine, Dr. Trinh enjoys being outdoors and staying active and healthy.
