Diana K Yao, MD

Dr. Diana Yao was raised outside of Portland, Oregon. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She received her medical degree from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California, Irvine as well as completing a year as Chief Resident. She also completed her GI fellowship at UC Irvine.

Dr. Yao is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Yao joined Long Beach Gastroenterology Associates in 1996. Her primary interests in the practice are general GI consultations and colon cancer screening with extensive experience in endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures.

Dr. Yao and her family are very active skiing, fly fishing, wakeboarding, and scouting.
