David A Guerrero, MD

Dr. Guerrero received his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1995, and completed a transitional internship the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center 1n 1996. He then went on to complete a 3-year residency in Family Practice at the White Memorial Medical Center in 1999 (associated with Loma Linda University, Loma Linda California). He is the medical director at Compton Family Medical Clinic, Inc. and at Long Beach-Bixby Knolls Medical Clinic, Inc. and is also fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Guerrero has been practicing medicine for over 20 years in Family Practice and over the last 6 years has placed an emphasis on Adult/Senior medical care because he saw that the local area lacked medical care specifically addressing seniors' medical needs. His medical clinic in Compton is for Adult/Senior medical care and his clinic in Long Beach is strictly of Senior care only.

Upon discussing his reasons for pursuing a career in medicine, Dr. Guerrero recalls liking the sciences in general and taking a real liking for the practice of healing and therefore he sought a career in medicine. Dr. Guerrero also reflects back on his experiences with his favorite childhood doctor, Dr. Fricker, who served as a strong mentor to him during his adolescent years.

Dr. Guerrero grew up in the San Fernando Valley and has been married to his wife Kristin Guerrero for over 32 years, and she is the acting office manager for both clinics. He has two sons, both of whom have graduated from college and are themselves pursuing their own careers.

Dr. Guerrero loves traveling and enjoys spending time with his family. His hobbies include anything to do with a construction project, as he built his own home back in 1999, and since then dabbles in the construction field during his off time.
