About Me

Dr. Thompson received his Medical Degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine (USC), where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Thompson then completed a subspecialty Fellowship in Rhinology, Sinus & Skull Base Surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. He has authored numerous scientific papers pertaining to chronic sinusitis, smell loss, sinus tumors, endoscopic sinus & skull base surgery, and head and neck cancer. He is currently a peer reviewer for the Laryngoscope and the American Journal of Rhinology & Allergy and was recently selected as a Top Peer Reviewer for his contributions to the Laryngoscope. Dr. Thompson is board certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, and a member of the American Rhinologic Society.

Dr. Thompson's professional interests include sinus and nasal disorders, chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, revision endoscopic sinus surgery, frontal sinus surgery, balloon sinuplasty, septal deviation, sinus tumors, sinus cancer, cerebrospinal fluid leak, inverted papilloma, smell loss, general adult and pediatric otolaryngology, head and neck oncology, and sleep apnea.

Dr. Thompson enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, traveling, cycling, snowboarding, hiking and playing basketball.
