About
Dr. Au H. Bui is a board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeon who specializes in treating gastrointestinal, liver, bile duct, and pancreatic diseases at the MemorialCare Todd Cancer Institute at Long Beach Medical Center.
His clinical interests include gastrointestinal diseases of the stomach; liver, bile duct & pancreas (hepatobiliary); and gallbladder with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques including laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
He received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and residency in general surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he served as chief resident. He then completed two fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic; the first in Minimally Invasive Surgery & Flexible Surgical Endoscopy and second in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery. Dr. Bui is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS) in general surgery.
Dr. Bui is an active member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal & Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), American College of Surgeons (ACS), the American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (AHPBA) and serves as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
Outside of work, Dr. Bui enjoys surfing, playing music and spending time with his family.
