Ann Mai, MD

Dr. Mai is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who has been in practice since 1998. Coming from a family of doctors she was naturally led into Medicine and before she knew it, she was one of the youngest to ever graduate from medical school at the age of 22. She was raised in Canada and received her M.D. from the University of Toronto. Internship and Residency were completed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where she still maintains strong ties. Dr. Mai has privileges at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian (both in Irvine and Newport Beach). 

To keep up with the latest in Medicine, Dr. Mai teaches and mentors medical students, medical-school oriented students, physician assistant and nurse practitioner students. She is very well-respected amongst her academic colleagues and students. She believes that these are our future healthcare providers and enlightening them with the old-fashioned traditional medical practices will keep this art from being lost amongst all the changes happening in healthcare today. The patient still knows best and listening to the patient will most often give you the diagnosis and treatment plan. 

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, non-profit work, golf and shoes!
