Anjuli R Kumar, MD

Anjuli Kumar, M.D., is board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition. Dr. Kumar holds hospital affiliations at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach, Fountain Valley Regional Medical Center and Torrance Memorial Medical Center. She also holds an academic appointment as an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California, Irvine.

Dr. Kumar received her medical training at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at the Children’s Hospital Orange County. Dr Kumar completed her fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Dr. Kumar’s areas of interest include failure to thrive, obesity, inflammatory bowel disease and liver disorders.

Dr. Kumar is an active member of the medical community, with memberships in several professional organizations, including the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. Her work has appeared in publications and has presented a poster at an International Conference on Esophageal Disorders.

Dr. Kumar has also volunteered her time and medical services to programs, such as Cambodian Health Professionals Association of America, in which she provided medical care and education to rural villages in Cambodia.

In her free time, she likes to travel around the world and learn about new cultures. She has been to over 20 countries and most of the United States. She also enjoys photography and spending time with her family.

Dr. Kumar is fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Kumar currently practices in Long Beach and Torrance.
