After earning her undergraduate degree in Biology at California State University – Long Beach, Dr. Amanda Binns went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed her residency at LAC+USC Medical Center.

She does a great job minimizing health anxiety by exploring other factors that could explain symptoms/conditions, but from her questions, I could tell she was thoroughly examining possibilities and not dismissing/minimizing my concerns. Despite my own embarrassment about possibly coming in about nothing, I appreciated her taking me seriously and referring me for bloodwork/imaging to be safe. She also does a great job discussing insurance and getting the most out of the visit. Truly appreciate her and the office staff (Sonia (I apologize if I misspelled) and the front desk staff as well) for their kindness during my visit!

I'm not particularly old and I was taken aback at the way I was told certain exams were going to start to be phased out. This was news to me and made me feel a bit as if I was being written off already. I didn't pursue the conversation because I had the distinct feeling they were too busy and I didn't feel they were trying to engage with me.

I have been seeing Dr Binns once a year. I dont have any health issues to my knowledge, so its not medically necessary to see her more often. When Ive been sick or broke my toe or fell down my stairs, I go to Urgent Care. Ive had two physicals, last year and then this year. She never examines me. She never checks my ears, or has me lay down, check my stomach area or my neck or not even a breast exam and I am a breast cancer surviver. She doesn't even ask me any questions about anything. Her PA is very thorough, and shows more interest, perhaps she should take her lead. Its the fastest physical Ive ever had and no wonder there’s not more than one other person in the waiting room. This particular physical I was having some issues with my hip. She prescribed me an cream that I had to ask for., I told her nurse, or what ever her title is, my pharmacy closed and there are two CVS both on Kramer, one closed the other is on Kramer and Yorba Linda Blvd. Well guess what, no prescription because this nurse wasn’t really interested in LISTENING to me. So now I contemplating on changing doctors. Dr Binns is nice an all but i want a doctor that truly takes an interest in their patients. I had a great female doctor for 18 years was awesome, Unfortunately, she retired. Im the type of person that needs a strong doctor not just one thats sits quietly with a smile on her face. I need a doctor to get mad at me when I don’t do what I am supposed to, like getting my test done. She is way too low key and uninterested. Her office staff gave me issues before when I asked for an MRI to be ordered because I fell down my stairs and hurt my back and when I never heard back from them I called and they said my insurance denied my request. That was NOT true. I called my insurance and they verified it was covered. Now with this years luke warm physical Im not going to be returning after I get my test I need done. Im disappointed in our Health care in general. My son is very ill and has several doctors and my experience in the last 7 years is that the medical industry sucks! The office staff are generally younger and have NO people skills what so ever! They have no work ethic and are lazy., Doctors don’t return calls, prescriptions are not called in, its a joke. As my sister and I talk, she lives in Denver, the medical industry is horrible its all about money and these little Gen Z brats taking over the workforce are disgraceful! The medical industry coupled with insurance companies dont give a rats ass about you or your health, The sooner you can die and get off the books the better! Im looking for a different doctor and in a different office. I gave her a three year chance and Im done!

I have been a patient of Dr. Amanda Binns for years and have valued her care and expertise. Due to work and travel limitations, I was unable to visit her for the past three years, during which my insurance transitioned to Liberty HealthShare. When I attempted to schedule an appointment recently, I encountered Miguel, the receptionist, who appeared disinterested in understanding my new insurance coverage and hesitant to assist me in navigating this change.Dr. Amanda has consistently demonstrated compassion and expertise in her healthcare provision. I commend her for her professionalism and the outstanding care she has extended to me throughout our patient-doctor relationship. It is regrettable that the front desk staff's commitment to patient care does not align with Dr. Amanda's high standards.I hope to have the opportunity to directly communicate with Dr. Amanda, bypassing the front desk, as they seem unaware of my history and unique circumstances. The request to be reconsidered as a new patient feels insincere, considering my longstanding relationship with the practice.Sincerely, Andrea
