Alireza Alam, MD

Alireza Alam MD is a board-eligible urologist, researcher and professor with extensive training and experience in pediatric urology. He has been working as a pediatric urologist since August 2016 and completed multiple Fellowships in Florida and California in his chosen specialty. He has extensive experience in minimally invasive surgery, with a particular interest in reconstructive urology. Prior to joining MemorialCare, Dr. Alam has held various prestigious positions including Pediatric Urology Faculty at Pediatrix Medical Group of Florida and Children's Urology Associates, Voluntary Associate Professor of Pediatric Urology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, and Program Director of Pediatric Urology at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Alam completed medical school at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, followed by a General Surgery Residency at Ahvaz University of Medical Sciences. He then pursued a Pediatric Surgery fellowship at Amirkabir Children's Hospital and multiple Clinical Fellowships in Pediatric Urology at renowned institutions such as the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, and the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Alam has also been actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows since 2016.

Throughout his career, Dr. Alam has contributed significantly to the field of pediatric urology through research and publications. He has presented his work at various international conferences and has numerous publications in esteemed journals. His research interests include hypospadias, bladder exstrophy, reconstructive urologic surgery, and neurogenic bladder. Dr. Alam's dedication to advancing pediatric urology is evident in his ongoing research projects and peer review activities.
