About Me

Dr. Nguyen grew up in Vietnam with both parents working as medical doctors. She came to Southern California with no formal education when she was 19 years old. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at UC Irvine where she graduated Suma Cum Laude. She went to USC Keck School of Medicine, and returned to UC Irvine for a Family Medicine Residency.

Since 2005, she worked at Kaiser Permanente, VNCOC, and Family Care Center Urgent Care. In 2009 she joined Nhan Hoa Community Clinic in Garden Grove as a Women Health Director. Later, she became Medical Director and implemented standards of care for underserved population and helped the clinic achieve NCQA (National Committee of Quality Assurance) Level 2 recognition and FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Care Center) status.

Her focus is on providing the highest quality care to patients and improving lifestyle choices to reduce or eliminate health problems. Her interests include playing piano, tennis, swimming, hiking, and taking her 2 children to the beach or the park. She also loves to volunteer in multiple community services: Habitat for Humanity, feeding the Homeless.
